The series looks at young partnerships, namely the relationships that form between students at NYU Abu Dhabi. The close proximity of the personal and academic lives makes these partnerships unavoidably visible. It also reveals their intricate nature.

Throughout my time at NYU I saw my friends, as individuals, come in and out of each other’s lives, leading to personal fortunes, misfortunes, and lessons learned.

Dependence, self-reliance, mistreatment, vulnerability, sexuality, loneliness - I see all of these in the way they interact.

Lovesick is not a documentary, but it does try to make sense of how these relationships work.
